What you can record on site

1. Observations in each room or element

Write what you saw on items such as ceiling tiles, pipe lagging, textured coatings or old painted timber: where it is, its condition and the next step you suggest. Type sample or swab references into the same notes. There are no dedicated asbestos or lead checklists, and identification still needs a competent survey and laboratory analysis.

2. Photo evidence with captions

Add several photos to each item and caption them, for example with the sample reference; the caption prints under the photo in the report. Pro adds capture times from the photo's EXIF data (or the time it was attached when there is none) and circles, arrows and labels drawn over the photo, leaving the original untouched.

3. HHSRS hazard scoring (Pro)

For homes in England and Wales, the Pro HHSRS section lets you score the "Asbestos and manufactured mineral fibres" and "Lead" hazards alongside the other hazards, with your evidence attached.

It does not identify asbestos and does not replace an accredited asbestos survey, laboratory analysis or a statutory asbestos register. Use it as a recording tool alongside the competent survey and testing your engagement requires.

Can I log sample references and chain of custody?▾

There are no dedicated sample or laboratory chain-of-custody fields. Type each sample reference into the observation notes or the photo caption, so it prints beside the evidence in the PDF, and keep the laboratory's own chain-of-custody form with the record. With Pro, photos carry their capture time from the photo's EXIF data, or the time it was attached when there is none.

Does it work offline in void properties and plant rooms?▾

Yes. Capture, photo logging and PDF generation run on the device, so inspections in void properties, plant rooms, basements and signal-dead sites do not depend on mobile reception. Records sync to your own account across your devices and back up once you have signal.
